It’s Thursday, the party is Saturday, and you bought five tickets in one order back when everyone said yes in the group chat. Now one friend has a work thing, another wants to show up after dinner across town, and someone just asked, “can you send me my ticket?”
If you’re the one who paid, you’re the one holding the plan together. Here’s how tickets for a group work on Beatmatch, and how to handle the three things that usually go sideways: people arriving at different times, someone dropping out, and the event itself changing.
On Beatmatch, tickets live in the account that bought them. Ticket transfers aren’t available in the app, so whoever completes the purchase is the person who shows the tickets at the door. (Access Your Tickets)
That makes one choice worth thirty seconds in the group chat: one order or separate orders?
If the group is loose (“I’ll probably come after the opener”), separate orders save you from standing at the door at 11:15 waiting for the last person.
As the group buyer, you’re the one who gets everyone in. Tickets have to be shown in the Beatmatch mobile app from the account that bought them, so you need to be at the door to scan your friends in. (Use Your Ticket at the Door)
So the simplest move is to meet up a block away and walk in together. Pick a spot that isn’t the front of the line: the taco truck on the corner, the gas station, the bar next door.
If meeting up won’t work, ask the organizer what they can do a day or two ahead, rather than sorting it out in the door line. Some organizers will add a name to a list, leave a note for door staff, or offer another way in. It’s their call, and policies vary by event and venue.

If the event is hosted by a community profile, you may also see a community feed. Posts there are public to every member, so keep it to general questions like door times or dress code, and never post payment details.
This is the awkward one. Your options, in the order most people try them:
Know the math before you promise anyone their money back. On an approved refund, you get the ticket price back. The Beatmatch service fee (10% of the order value plus $0.99 per ticket) isn’t refunded on a voluntary refund. So if your friend Venmo’d you for the ticket and the fee, settle up on the ticket price unless you want to cover the difference.
Lineup changes and new set times are the organizer’s to announce, so check the event page and your messages on the day, and pass anything new along in the group chat.
If the organizer officially cancels the event, you get a full refund, ticket price and service fees included, and you don’t need to request it. It’s processed automatically, though how long it takes to land depends on your bank or card. (Request a Refund)
