Overcoming stage fright in his early twenties, he has since performed with legendary musicians like Booker T. Jones, Colin James, Beth Hart, and Burton Cummings. Roper's latest album, Horizons, marks a high point in his career, created with JUNO-nominated producer Gus van Go. His upcoming LP features energetic and soulful tracks like "Make It All Work Out," which gained radio attention in 2023. The second single, "Throw This Rope," is inspired by Roper's frustration with unsolicited advice from people with little understanding of the music industry.
