Trumpet sensation Maurice "Mobetta" Brown blends contemporary jazz, blues-rock, and hip-hop, creating a unique sound that marries bebop with urban influences. A Chicago native, Brown won the national Miles Davis Trumpet Competition as a teen before studying under Alvin Batiste in Louisiana. His album The Cycle of Love was named one of the year's best by NPR and Huffington Post.
