Since his debut single in 2021, Ruger, whose real name is Michael Adebayo Olayinka, has garnered global attention due to his distinctive appearance, including pink hair and an eyepatch, as well as his unapologetically authentic persona. In 2023, he embarked on a successful European tour. Over two short years, he released several high-quality projects, starting with his debut EP Pandemic, followed by The Second Wave and The Second Wave Deluxe.His breakout single Asiwaju reached #1 in Nigeria and #3 on the OCC Afrobeats Chart in the UK, while tracks like Girlfriend and Bounce gained popularity worldwide.
