WidemouthBack when Widemouth was just Jamie and Mak, with just two voices and an acoustic guitar, their songs could reasonably have been described as folk everything was soft and pretty. But when Lily (drums) and Levi (bass) came along, the songs started to bang a little harder. Even more once they got a Fender Deluxe. They all love Big Thief and MJ Lenderman, and they hope it shows. Theyve been playing around Chicago since their first show in February, and recently went on their first tour (Widetour), playing shows in NYC, Boston, St. Louis, and more. Their debut EP, Well, is coming out on November 22, and they are proud to be playing their release show at SPACE, in their hometown of Evanston. The record was produced and engineered by their dear friend Sam Genualdi, and recorded in his apartment in Andersonville. Theyve come a long way since February, but theyre just getting started.
