Burning through countless miles and living the world over, Austin calls home everywhere from the American West Coast to the central states of the European continent.As a young person, Austin worshipped a diverse mixture of Classic Rock, Country, Punk, Psychedelic Folk, and Mountain Music and has made a career by successfully fusing these disparate influences into something uniquely their own. Austin, known as a songwriters songwriter, has been a fixture in the worlds of Alternative Country and Folk Punk, having toured with everyone from Willie Nelson, Brent Cobb, Face To Face, Frank Turner, Lavender Country, Nathaniel Rateliff, Chuck Ragan, Dawes, Langhorne Slim, Joe Pug, John Moreland, Lucero, and many others.Austins long history in the DIY punk scene forged an uncompromising attitude towards the way their art should be presented to the world. Although a desire to do things on their own terms has inspired countless artists over the years, their iconoclastic heart has often found them running afoul of music industry executives.
