An Evening Honoring a Percussion Legend and the Icons of Salsa Join us in celebrating the 60th birthday of Bobby Allende, master percussionist, musical director, and beloved figure in Latin music. With a career spanning decades, Bobby has performed with the greatest names in salsa and has shaped the sound of modern Latin music through passion, rhythm, and unmatched artistry. As part of this special occasion, we are proud to honor Bobby with heartfelt tributes from two salsa legends who have shared the stage and legacy with him: Gilberto Santa Rosa, Puerto Ricos Gentleman of Salsa, known for his romantic, elegant vocal style.Rubén Blades, the Panamanian singer, songwriter, and activist whose groundbreaking music brought social awareness to salsa.
