Googoosh, the legendary Iranian singer and actress, has left an indelible mark on the music and film industry with a career spanning over 60 illustrious years. Born in 1950s Tehran, she quickly rose to fame with her first single, "Ghesseh Vafa," which remains the highest-selling record in Iranian history. However, Googoosh faced challenges after the Islamic revolution of Iran in 1979, which banned women from singing in public. She was arrested and spent 21 years under house arrest. Nevertheless, Googoosh made a triumphant return to the stage in 2000, selling out concerts worldwide.
