The Monolators were formed in 2002 in Highland Park by husband-and-wife duo Mary and Eli Chartkoff. They became a fixture at now-defunct venues like Mr. T's Bowl and Pehrspace and played with seemingly every band in Los Angeles during a ten-year run that spanned seven lineups, three albums, and six EPs/singles. After a seven-year hiatus they reformed in 2019 with their reputation for intense live performances intact. For fans of Rock and Roll.
