Lily Konigsberg has been writing songs all her life. Born and raised in Brooklyn, she started playing solo sets around NYC clubs as a teenager, before linking up with Bard classmates Nina Ryser and Ani Ivry-Block to form Palberta. She released her latest full-length solo album Lily We Need To Talk Now via Wharf Cat October 2021. Simon Hanes is a California born, Brooklyn-based composer, performer and arranger. His work revolves around bridging his main influences; soundtrack music from 1960s/70s Italian films, contemporary classical music, and non-idiomatic improvisation. Hanes composes for, conducts, and performs extensively with his Italian soundtrack-pop large ensemble Tredici Bacci, which has collaborated with such musicians as Elysian Fields, Ryan Power, Ruth Garbus, JG Thirlwell, Charlie Looker, Ed Askew, Vincenzo Vasi, and underground music legend Gary Wilson. Releasing his fuzzy home recordings since 2015, Samuel Boat finally presents the full band version. The band plays songs old and new from the "soda pop rock" songbook, melding musical tones with words in an effort to find the right balance between the tranquil and the haunted. Samuel Boat is the moniker of Sam Lisabeth, former member of synth/rock band Guerilla Toss. On the Moon Tonight, their new album of mostly old songs, is coming out in March of 2024 via Addendum Tapes.
