“Feelin’ Rhythm” at The Goldfish. Inspired by Ron Trent’s “I Feel The Rhythm” and a nod to Low’s “Forward Rhythm” project, the night promises deep dance music with soul, groove, and smooth rhythm. After years of cultivating these sounds in HLP, we feel that The Goldfish provides an ideal space for openness and ambiance than standard clubs or warehouses. We believe expanding these sounds in different environments is crucial for the city’s musical openness and growth. Seven Davis Jr is not just a singer, producer, and songwriter, but a force of musical nature. Growing up in Northern California, he honed his skills as a gospel and jazz singer, drawing inspiration from legends like Prince, Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, and Michael Jackson. Classical influences from Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr, and Burt Bacharach further enriched his musical palette. The transformative encounter with House music and Jungle during his teenage years in San Francisco's electronic underground marked a pivotal moment, forever altering Seven Davis Jr's life and sound. His musical journey extends across prestigious labels such as Ninja Tune, Classic Music Co, Defected, Stonesthrow, and many more. Collaborating with luminaries like Honey Dijon, Four Tet, Hot Chip, Steve Spacek, Herbert, and John Cale, Seven Davis Jr has carved a distinct niche in the music realm.
