$12 + taxes & fees Old Joy is Alex Reindl & friends. Alex has been wasting his life in various bands in Chicago since 2008, including Shiloh, Dan Rico, Bloom, Dogs at Large and Sonny Falls and has been performing under the name Old Joy since 2017. Combining the emotional impressionism of folks like Elliott Smith and Jeff Tweedy with the grit and poppy slop of The Replacements and Pavement, Old Joy has released two full lengths, an EP and several singles to a polite smattering of golf applause. Hopefully there's enough juice left in the tank for a few more before the heavy weight of reality overpowers the optimistic delusion in the face of near certain obscurity that informs and drives much of the band's work. 'Too Sick for School' is the latest full length. Anna McClellan is a singer songwriter currently in the process of uprooting from her hometown of Omaha, NE. This tour is apart of that transition, ushering in a new life chapter. At the moment of writing this, she is being annoyed by a fly. Her songs seek to hold contradictions, bring people together and act as personal refuge from the futility of living under capitalism. On stage she will be accompanied by her best friend Ryan McKeever who also plays music under the name Staffers. This is an 18+ event
