Donavan's Yard Fire Relief Benefit This Friday 1/31 @ Los Globos Donating 100% of ticket proceeds to Fire Poppy Project in support of low income renters affected by Eaton Fire Fire Poppy Project is a volunteer-led effort that bloomed in the wake of the Eaton Fire in Altadena, Pasadena and the surrounding communities of the San Gabriel Valley. They are raising funds to provide PPE, cleaning equipment, and bilingual training to at least 100 low-income and BIPOC renters whose homes were contaminated by soot and ash and do not have renters insurance to cover remediation costs. If funds allow, renters will also be provided air purifiers and filters. They are fiscally sponsored by the 501c3 Moving Mountains, and working closely with the Pasadena Tenants Union, Transformation Works (a franchise of ServiceMaster Restoration), and Mutual Aid Los Angeles Network (MALAN). Renter support services will continue as long as funds allow.
